Carmel Higher Secondary School, Chalakudy, established and administered by Carmel Bhavan, Chalakudy, CMI Congregation of Devamatha Province, Thrissur began functioning on 16th July 1975. The school founded by the great visionary Rev. Fr. Gabriel CMI, the Provincial of Devamatha Province of the CMI Congregation has completed over 50 years of glorious service.
Carmel H.S.S. is an unaided institution recognized by the Govt. of Kerala. The medium of instruction is English. Carmel strives to provide the best of modern education and a more holistic educational experience to the young minds. Its ambience teamed with a positive outlook unleashes a dynamic and dazzling climate to fulfill their creative urges and provide a platform to showcase their talents.

Blessed by Mother Mary of Mt. Carmel and guided by the divine light of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, Carmel School stands as an epitome of wisdom and virtue. 50 years of excellence and exuberance has raised our school to astonishing heights. Carmel started its unprecedented journey back in July 1975 and since then has been a light house that enlightened all her children and brightened their path leading them to success. We at Carmel visualize and herald the integral development of our children by bringing together all their dormant capabilities. May the almighty be the strength and light before our footsteps.
